Chim chiminey, chim chiminey, chim chim cher-oo 🎶

An eye catching new Dessert venue has arrived in the Merchant City. Having a little spy on their new Insta account @thechimneycakecorporation we can see they serve Savoury & Sweet “Chimneys” with customers indulging in both & it being high on our priorities to review we arrive hungry like the wolf and ready for both.

I opt for the Chicken Tikka and my partner opts for the Tuna. They were so delicious and none of the filling falls out because it’s closed at the bottom - what a genius idea. It’s like a tastier Subway - without the mess! Salad that’s fresh and a lovely selection of sauces to custom make your own - it’s a must. For the dessert options I choose the Coachella which comes in a stickier, glazed Chimney with gorgeous homemade vanilla Ice cream, fresh berries and fruit and coconut shavings. It’s fresh and sweet.

The only thing was it doesn’t cut well it’s more of a pick up dessert so your having to bite into ice cream which is a big no no for me and my sensitive teeth. It was nice but I loved the Savoury one more. My partner had the Peanut Butter which came presented with a Reese’s cupcake which is right up his street. It was very much to his taste but again holding the dessert makes your hands sticky so some hand wipes would (come in handy.. 👐😂)

The venue is nice and modern inside and has more of a lunch time or a takeaway feel. We thought a TV on the wall could make it cosier or some louder music to attract all the nearby students. I was impressed to see they do salad bowls as the Jan diet commences next week so I hope to come back for some of the healthy food on offer. The man serving was very charming.
